What doesn't
Three things, and what we do about each.
- Saved card data. No processor hands over saved cards, so autopay cannot move as a file. Shortcut re-enrolls it: the first invoice carries a pay link and a saved-card prompt, and Needs attention lists who has not re-enrolled yet so the office can call them. Service Autopilot's terms route payment services through Clearent only2; on Shortcut, payments run on your own Stripe account, with cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and bank transfer.
- Custom report layouts. Shortcut's reports are fixed views that answer a question each: where did the money come from, who owes you, did each job make money, what did each crew produce, which quotes became work. Each one says how it is measured. Your saved Service Autopilot report selections are not imported; on the walkthrough we show you which view answers each one.
- Logins. Every person gets a new login and, on the crew side, the Shortcut app. Crews pick English or Spanish per person.
Switching from Service Autopilot
We do the switch. Give us access, and we do the rest.
Our team rebuilds your customers, recurring schedules, services, pricing, crews, estimates, invoices, payment history, employees, automations, and property boundaries overnight, then walks you through the result. No fee.
- Day 020-minute call. We see if Shortcut fits. If it does, you give us access to your current software.
- That nightMigrated overnight. You sleep.
- Up to 2 weeksShadow. Both systems run side by side. You review and approve.
- Cutover MondayYour crews open Shortcut. We're on the phone for the first 8 hours.
Plan it around your renewal. Service Autopilot's terms auto-renew unless you give written notice 30 days before the term ends, and leaving early costs the remaining months2. Tell us your renewal date on the call and we schedule the overnight so the side-by-side period ends before your notice window.
What it costs
Nothing to switch.
Migration, onboarding, and support carry no fee.
What you pay after: $180 per crew per month, or $144 billed yearly, with every office user, the map, texting, the client portal, and QuickBooks Online included. The number is the same next year. The whole bill, next to Service Autopilot's.

Why operators leave
Keep the board. Lose the rest.
Service Autopilot customers stay for the dispatch board, the automations, auto-invoicing, and the price matrix, and Shortcut keeps all four. What they describe leaving over, in their own reviews and the product's own documents:
- Support hours and resolution time. Phone and ticket support run weekdays, 8 to 5 Central. Reviewers report weeks to resolve a ticket10, 5.
- An office that costs per seat. Every tier below Elite includes one office user1. Shortcut's office seats are free, all of them.
- A contract that grows on its own. The terms allow a 7 percent increase each year on the prior year's fees2.
- A crew app that doesn't sync. Field-app reviewers describe crashes, re-logins, and uploads that never reach the office3, 4. Shortcut's app queues every start, photo, note, and finish offline and replays them when the truck is back in service.

When you have an issue
A real person, same day.
Every Shortcut customer gets a direct line to our team, including me. The same people who moved your data answer you, same day, every day. If you've spent a week waiting on a ticket, you already know why that matters.
Chance Heath, founder
Switching from Service Autopilot, answered.
What a Service Autopilot customer asks on the first call, in plain words.
How long does it take to switch from Service Autopilot to Shortcut?
One night for the import, then up to two weeks running both systems side by side while you check the result. Your crews go live on a Monday.
What do I need to give you?
Access to your Service Autopilot account. Our team does the export and the rebuild. You review what came across on a walkthrough call.
Will my customers' saved cards move?
Shortcut re-enrolls autopay with a pay link and a saved-card prompt on the first invoice, and lists who has not re-enrolled yet. No processor hands over saved card data.
Do my automations come across?
Yes. We rebuild them from Shortcut's library and builder under the same names, and they run on day one. Anything custom, we build on the walkthrough.
What happens to my chemical programs and rounds?
They become programs with seasonal rounds, scheduled by due date. Each completed stop writes an application record with the product, the rate, the treated area from the property map, and the weather at that time.
Can I keep using Service Autopilot while I check Shortcut?
Yes. Both run side by side for up to two weeks. Nothing in Service Autopilot changes until your crews switch.
When should I give Service Autopilot notice?
After the side-by-side period, and before your notice window. Their terms auto-renew unless you give written notice 30 days before the term ends, and early exit costs the remaining months. Bring your renewal date to the call and we plan the overnight around it.
Does it cost anything?
No. Migration, onboarding, and support carry no fee. After that, $180 per crew per month with everything included.
My crews speak Spanish. Does the app?
Yes. English or Spanish, per person.
What about QuickBooks?
Shortcut syncs customers, services, invoices, payments, refunds, and credits to QuickBooks Online, included, and supports QuickBooks Desktop as a custom configuration set up with you on the walkthrough. On Service Autopilot, QuickBooks is an Elite feature or a paid add-on.
